Academic Applications International began as International Technical Education and Consulting Associates (INTEC) in 1979 (see AAII Charter). The INTEC corporate focus and name were changed in 1987. Project consulting and instructional services that began under INTEC (see Legacy Projects) continue through AAII, but with an increased academic emphasis.
Collaboration and collaboration are now facilitated and advanced among academically inclined individuals and institutions, professional societies, and enterprises. Applications are being revealed through academic content via this new companion website encompassing Systems Thinking, Engineering, and Analysis.
The highest-level mission of AAII is to emphasize better stewardship of the world in which we live, with a keen focus on the human-modified domain. This domain is the natural world into which the human-made has been introduced through human activity systems, subsystems, products, and artifacts; a world becoming increasingly complex in the 21st century.
